≡ G92 Blue Advance to Quarter-Finals in State Cup
27 APRIL 2008 - The ladies of G92 Blue advanced to the Quarter-Finals of State Cup in impressive fashion. First, they finished at the top of their Bracket, recording two shut-outs along the way. In the Round of 32 the Team came away with a convincing 3 - 1 victory. Then, in the Round of 16, the game ended in a 2 - 2 draw. After double overtime ended at 3 - 3, the Team faced PK's and came away with the much deserved 4 -3 win.

Finally, the Team faced SD Surf (Premier) in the Quarter-Finals, and played some of their best soccer to date. Surf scored early in the first half and lead 1 - 0 at half-time. Chelsea evened the score early in the second half, and scored a second goal off a corner, but had it waived off for contact... Surf scored with 5 minutes left in the game to claim a 2 - 1 victory. While Surf is a quality side, Chelsea gave them all they could handle, with aggressive Defending and quality play from the Midfield, Forwards, and Keeper.

The Team is looking to continue building on the successes of 2007. If you are interested in joining a competitive team with strong chemistry and a sense of teamwork, please contact Paul Horner at paul.horner@uksocca.com, or Steve Augustine at s.augustine@sbcglobal.net.

≡ G97 Blue Champions at the California Spring Cup 2008
G97 Blue 11 MARCH 2008 - Playing as a team for the first time, they prevailed over their opposition at every turn. Controlling both sides of the pitch, Chelsea scored 18 goals and only allowed 1.

They played with a lot of heart and determination and never wavered from their goals to play hard, not give up, and have fun!

This championship was truly a team effort with all girls contributing whether it was the great defending and passing by Bridget, Breanna, Adele, MaKayla, Camille, or the hat trick by Kaylee and Luli, or the assists and goals by Molly, Jessie, Karlie, Dominique, Ashley, C.C., and Sophia, or the amazing saves by goalies Gillian and Kassidy each girl gave 100 percent!
≡ G98 Blue - Champions at 2008 OC Mayors Cup
G98 Blue 04 MARCH 2008 - They could huff and puff and throw 50 mile an hour winds at ChelseaSC G98 Blue and even that could not stop their domination of the 2008 OC Mayors Cup. The team scored 23 goals while SHUTTING out all the opposition and allowing 0 goals over the course of 4 games. The girls battled Cypress Elite, Canyon PSA and Sereno 98 White on their way to the championship match. During their preliminary matches, ChelseaSC G98 Blue received scoring contributions from 7 of its 12 players. Defensively Chelsea dug in and played outstanding team defense; anchored by their Goalie Emily Valenciano.

During the final match winds were blowing between 50-65 miles and hour; almost carrying our young players off with them. Chelsea pulled ahead in the first half 1-0. Almost immediately after the second half began, Chelsea scored another goal and secured victory by defeating Cypress Elite 2 - 0. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the tremendous growth from a group of girls who have worked extremely hard and are dedicated to this sport they love.

≡ G96 Blue - Finalist at DBWV Winter Shootout
G96 Blue 27 JANUARY 2008 - Neither wind, nor rain, nor mud could stop G96 from making it to the finals of the Diamond Bar / Walnut Valley Winter Shootout. Fighting the rainy weather and sloppy fields, G96 battled bravely and took the finals to double overtime before losing a heartbreaker.

It was a testimate to the girls' toughness and character that they hung in despite the extreme conditions during the two day event. Good job and congrats G96 Blue!

 ≡ Welcome Chelsea G96 Black!
G96 28 NOVEMBER 2007 - Chelsea SC Black is the newest team to join the Chelsea Soccer Club! We have a group of the most talented, dedicated and hard working players around. If you didn't see our stats in Coast Soccer League, it's not a mistake. The Chelsea SC Black team did not participate in the fall program for Coast Soccer League - the Chelsea girls played in the North Orange County Premier League against 15 of the toughest boy's teams in the county.

Chelsea SC Black just participated in it's first tournament at the Southwest Soccer Club Thanksgiving Premier Cup. Already facing a huge adversity in the tournament, the Chelsea girls were forced to play up in the U12 Division against two Silver Teams and one bronze team. The girls competed with tremendous heart and played tough in 4 games against these teams. The Chelsea girls fought their way to the finals and lost a tough game against the Claremont Stars (who will be Silver Elite next year).
